Anniversaries

Because I've been told my posts are depressing lately, but because I can't let this slide because I'm just so unbelievably happy to be alive and well and somewhat healthy and a million other things.

And because I'm taking Robin's advice and losing a TOUCH of my anonymity, this is a very small post:

I am Brittany.
Meghan is my middle name.
And the following occurred a year ago:

My life is one big crisis after another.

And I love Robin like a sister.
For everything.

Jeezus girlie!

When I think about my belief that it is our scars that give us our depth of character, I quickly realize why I love you so much already!!

I already knew you were Brittany! I remember my joy in knowing your name only b/c I like that name.

AND NOW YOU'VE SHARED IT! IT'S OUT!!

Call the police!!

Can I keep calling your meggiepants? It seems to fit.

Do you still have the cane? They can be fun when people are being annoying :D

Wow. I just read Birdie's story and The Explanation. Dang girl. You have really been through it. Thank you for sharing your story with me and everyone. I feel blessed to have known you even through this impersonal medium.

You have had enough once in a lifetime experiences. It's time to let someone else take their turn.

I knew Meghan was your middle name. You have such a pretty first name to go with it. And can I just say, I've always liked Meghan with an 'h' thrown in. And your Brittany is much better than 'Britney'. You really got the pick of the names girl.
As for the crash...I remember you making references to it, but to hear the story is just amazing. You really are a strong strong woman. With a beautiful friend.

I remember reading that Brittany was the most likely name for a cheerleader in American Colleges...so anything else you want to share. ~grin~

Ang - Thanks, chica! The feeling is totally mutual!! But I pray you don't have the scars I have . . . and yet, I wonder since you have such depth.

Laurie - ha ha ha. You are one of the only ones who knew almost the whole time. Crackhead. :)

Coyote Mike - Sure thing, babes. As for the cane, yeah, I still have it. Still have to use it occassionally, too. Which, let me tell you, brings the men a-runnin. They LOVE a chick with a quad cane.

Beachgirl - I'm going total gradeschool on this: Nu uh! You are!!!

Angel, Jr. - I love you guys, too. Even if it turns out you guys have heinous names like Opal or Honus.

Armaedes - It has a nice ring to it.

Jenni - LOL! Those are just the tips of the icebergs. My parents refer to me as "The Medical Miracle" and "Calamity Jane." Every time I call my mom (which is daily almost) she says: "What tragedy has befallen you now??" It is ungodly the amount of crap that HAPPENS to me. Craziness.

PK - Amen. I would LOVE to. Know any people that deserve it??

MrShife - Love you, too, Mr. Man with the Gorgeous Wife.

Auburn - LOL, I'm glad you think so! But the truth is, when I was 6 my mom told me what she was GOING to name me . . . and I wish she had. I love it. Just because it's so different. Though, at the time, Brittany was different. However, now, everytime I'm in a store, I have to turn my head 8 times because EVERYONE is named Brittney or some variation. I don't know about the strength thing, but I do know that Robin is beautiful - inside and out - always has been.

Indiana - Oh bite me. :)

I'm not just your run-of-the-mill ordinary crackhead, I'm a privelaged crackhead.
And don't you forget it.
