After the Rain, There Must Be Some Sun

I think the picture says it all.

Exactly two years ago, a man decided to take his life by swerving head-on into traffic.
We were both traveling 65 MPH. There was no opportunity to even tap the brakes, let alone stop.

He died on impact. I was, miraculously, only slightly injured.
And by slightly, I mean I was able to leave the hospital on my power.

I pray for his family and friends.
I pray to remember, everyday, what this wreck did to change my life.
And I pray to be thankful for all that I have and everyone in my life.

This vehicle DID save my life. I have no doubt. Which is why I purchased the one below the day after the wreck:

*hugs*

It's amazing the things we make it through that make us stronger, better people in the end.

Maybe you should have "BB" for a nickname. It's the acronym for "Black Box," those little flight recorders that are the only things that survive intense destruction.

Wow.

I have no idea what to say, except I'm thankful you're OK. And that's quite an advertisement for the vehicle.

Good grief!

Glad you made it through!

My wife went through something similar, though not in such a grand scale, several years ago.

No one died, no one got hurt, but her Jeep was totalled nevertheless, and we replaced it with an identical one.

My main complaint is that some people who bought big SUVs as protection couldn't manuver them.

I do battle in my paid-off, stick shift, 35 mpg, undentable Saturn. There is not a better car to log 40,000 miles a year with.

I think we are all thankful you were driving such a vehicle.

Umm, can I have a ride to Target?

I am so glad to hear that you were fortunate enough to be protected by the car. Stay safe.

Sizzle - Happy Anniversary - umm, a bit late, but still! I still feel very badly for his family . . . but it's tempered with a little anger that he made the chioces he did.

Chica - Thanks! And oh so true. Unfortunately I've had MANY of those kinds of experiences. I'd settle for some normalcy or even some boredom every now and again.

Walter - Hmm, that sounds better than nicknames I've had in the past! :)

Jason - Thank you. Oddly enough, I was at the dealership again this weekend and someone asked me if I ever sent pictures in to Toyota to volunteer myself as an advertisement. Hmmm . . .

Burg - Thanks!

Carl - I know the trauma she felt. Believe it or not - that vehicle was the FIFTH I was in that was totalled. And no, none of them have ever been my fault. I hope your Saturn's safe!

Coyote - Thanks! Though, I should warn you, you're not going TO Target when you ride with me - you ARE the Target.

Shife - Thank you! :)
